Let's begin by stating: There isn't a right or wrong way to scrapbook!

Your scrapbook and the pages within are just that "yours". This is a journey of capturing moments and memories, which are important to you. Remember, your scraping has a style of its own and your style will differ from others.

So with that said, let me tell you that Scrapbooking is a great hobby, that can fill your life with memories of precious moments. And if you are new to creating scrapbooks, then here are a few tips to get you started. And you will want to get a few things before beginning, most items you will be able to get at your local hobby store or Walmart.

1. Some small plastic storage bins/w lids so that you can organize your pictures, (or something like a shoe box if you are on a really tight budget) colored paper, colored markers and photo album to begin with.

2. Scissors, as many of the decorative scissors as you can afford. But start out with at least 1-2 pair, which will run about $3-5 a piece.

3. Other things to consider are: assorted ribbons, hot glue gun, and a good pair of straight scissors.

4. Your basic Scrapbooking decor doesn't have to be much. Begin by looking for things that are lying around your house. Scraps of material, string, stickers, smaller pieces of paper etc. all can be used for ideas for Scrapbooking.

After gathering everything together, pick out pictures to showcase, mix and match materials (Its just like putting a puzzle together) and have fun with it.

One last thing, always carry a pen and paper with you because you never know when ideas for Scrapbooking will come along.
